About Us
We sincerely welcome your visit to the Donghae Rejuvenating Hot Spring Convention Hotel
Anyone may look at the horizon, caress the blue sea, or feel their feet on the sandy beach. And anyone may store away the sunset to his heart's content.
Yet not everyone may be capaple of fully appreciating the singular Mangsan Beach. This beautiful and natural beach without a grain of river or artificial sand features the largest sandy shore of South Korea, offering visitors a vision of an infinite horizon graced by white undullating waves, and an unmatched natural scenery for watching the sunrise at the East Sea.
Located at this beautiful place, the Donghae Grand Hotel recently built a pedestrian overpass in order to improve accessibility to Mangsan Beach, as well as an indoor natural bedrock seawater pool to offer its guests the pleasures of the sea in case of bad weather.
The 50-meter, 8-lane pool offers plenty of space for all the guests and is filled with thermal spring water, making it an excellent therapy for the skin. Moreover, we took care to add a thermal hot spring spa facility so that guests may recover from their long days and leave their fatigue at the hotel.
Our staff at the Donghae Grand Hotel make a promise to smile brightly and do their utmost so that each and every guest is fully satisfied with their stay. Thank you.
Introducing the Hotel
The Donghae Grand Tourist Hotel, one of the leading hotels of Donghae City, was constructed in 1996 and has remodeled successively since 1997 to meet the comfort and needs of its guests, redecorating its external appearance, guestrooms and amenties in 2007. In 2009, the hotel added a spa that can be used by up to 1,000 men and women simultaneously, a 50-meter, 8-lane indoor swimming pool, 15 new suites, a wedding hall on the fourth floor, and a grand ballroom on the fifth floor suitable for holding international conventions and meetings.
The hotel blends Eastern and Western styles superbly, using European-style stone marbles internally and externally to exude a sense of propriety; traditional Korean rooftop tiles have also been added to the exterior of the hotel just recently. The Grand Park, an outdoor park, features traditional landscaping that emphasizes the beauty of nature, and includes a waterfall, walking trail, sculptures, and four- and eight-sided pavilions. A mini-zoo has also been newly added to the park featuring monkeys, rabbits, peacocks, turkeys and other fowls, and can be excellent for school field trips.
The Donghae Grand Hotel is especially ideal for the finest views of the sandy Mangsan Beach and its ever-changing blue sea, a view that's difficult to match anywhere else in Korea. Or guests may opt to appreciate the magnificent view of the sunrise from the comfort of their rooms or from the hotel's sky lounge.
Moreover, the hotel is surrounded by magnificent, even fantastic, scenery of the sea and mountains, making it the ideal for spending your holiday. Specifically the hotel is near tourism attractions such as Gangneung Ojukheon House (30min), Jeongdongjin Beach (20min), Chuam Chotdaebawi Rock (30min), Mureung Valley (30min), and the largest limestone cave of the East, the Hwanseon Cave (40min) and Daegeumgul Cave (40min) and more.
